They’re both superb AMOLED displays that are hard to fault. The S22 Ultra’s display is a little brighter and covers more of both the sRGB color gamut and the DCI-P3 color space. However, Apple’s panel appears to offer more accurate colors, with a Delta-E score closer to 0.

Both phones should give you great battery life, but if you’re looking for the best possible battery life, the Pro Max seems to be the better choice. That said, the Galaxy S22 Ultra does offer faster charging, so you can get your phone back to 100% in just a little over 20 minutes.
